Joy 24 Carat Gold Makeup Foundation Review
The foundation comes in a Maroon coloured tube with gold coloured flip flop cap. Though the packaging looks sturdy & good enough but the so runny consistency of the foundation makes the whole application messy. The moment cap is opened foundation starts flowing out. In this case I would have preferred a glass bottle pump packaging for sure.
I couldn’t find any details about the product on their website so not sure of availability of shades, if one or more than that. The one which I am having with me is 2 tones lighter than my skin tone & does give a white ghastly cast on my face. I mix this with my tinted moisturizer to get the shade close to my skin tone. This doesn’t give me a complete matte finish being oil free but slight dewey look. But my skin cannot afford to skip moisturizer while using as it gets drier progressing the day, so always use this along with my tinted moisturizer. The foundation stays good for 7-9 hours on my skin after which I remove this easily with my regular makeup remover or olive oil.
Coverage is medium & skin with heavy pigmentation & blemishes will not get any benefit from this. On dry skin if used alone without a moisturizer will accentuate the dryness & will make it look patchy. This would be good for beginners with good even skin tone for flawless coverage & dry skin suggested to use along with a good moisturizer.
- Provides good low-medium coverage.
- Light textured & doesn’t make skin feel heavy.
- Contains SPF15
- Gives semi dewey look rather than completely matte.
- Good staying power.
- Runny in consistency making packaging & application messy.
- Not enough moisturizing for my dry skin.
- No information available regarding shades.
- This shade won’t suit medium- duskier females.
- Doesn’t give full coverage. Not recommended for heavily pigmented skin.
Joy 24 Carat Gold Makeup Foundation gives low-medium coverage with semi dewey finish. The consistency is very runny making packaging & application messy. Not sure of shades availability. Not enough moisturization for dry skin & accentuates the dry patches. If used with a moisturizer stays good without any concerns. I think this is apt for oily skin beauties.
You can find other foundation range from Joy HERE.
PS: Product sent by brand for consideration. This however has not affected my review.
